Learning to sail at Gordon’s Bay Yacht Club
Founded in 1967, Gordon’s Bay Yacht Club started out as a power boat club. Sailing came to the fore with the fuel restrictions of the 1970s, and today the club is home to keelboat sailing in the north-east corner of False Bay, where the winter sailing is idyllic.
SA Sailing Academy provides keelboat sail training here for youth, adults and families, through the week and on scheduled weekends, on our Sadler 26 and L26 keelboats.
Our host clubs welcome you as their guests while you learn to sail with us. Please support them and make use of their facilities: a restaurant and bar over weekends and holidays, a lounge and balcony with views over the water, and some of the best sunsets in the Western Cape.
